Welcome to this Blog. I am Jean Lewis, a conservative republican. I write the real truth as I see it. If its news, I hold nothing back (unless it is “fake news”)and there is a lot of that going around. Should you see something that I have written and feel that it is untrue, let me know and together we will fact check it immediately.
Thank You.
Jean

I think we all can agree that there is a lot wrong with this country, but we also can agree that there are a lot of things that are right with this country. “We the people” are considered the body of this country, meaning we have free elections to vote on candidates, who swear an oath to run this country according to the constitution, bill of rights and rule of law, etc. We look at their credentials, their positions on issues, etc – or at least that is what we are supposed to do, and if we like what we see and hear, we can then decide to vote for them. We look to them to keep their promises they made to us during their campaign. The only problem (wrong thing) with this is – we cannot fire them if they do not keep these promises. We have to wait a few years until the next election and then we can vote against them and try to vote them out of office.
That vote we made to put them in office can either make us WINNERS OR LOSERS. If those persons we voted for do try their best to keep their promises to us, more than likely some will be kept and we become winners. This is how the system is supposed to work. However, many of the people who are voted into office are not really interested in the people- their constituents. They give lip service to that effect, telling their people what they want to hear, but they really strive to be voted into office for their own selfish gain of money and power. They learn to play the game real quick, perhaps following a relative or close friend, who has done quite well as a politician, with little of no qualifications at all. Uncle Joe or aunt Sue is there to help them get their foot in the door – $174,000 plus free health benefits (the best), travel, phones, office staff and other perks- not bad for an unknown, inexperienced person. As long as they can learn the game, being taught by watching and seeing what all of the other game players are doing, they can continue to deceive the people that vote to keep them in office. Many of them have been in office since the 1970’s – most of them going in with nothing, but are now millionaires many times over. The exception – those who go in to work and serve the people.
When Obama became president, he reportedly had a net worth of 1.3 million, mostly from book royalties. When he left office, his net worth was 45 million and still climbing. His salary as president was $400,000 per year. In contrast, President Trump has lost about 3 million since he took office in less than 2 years. He gives his $400,000 salary to charity.
Any political office in the government, especially the federal government, is a great opportunity to get rich at others expense, with “others” meaning we the people.
Now, I have saved the best for last. My husband and I both voted for Trump in 2016. I consider myself and my husband Ron, who is a practicing CPA (certified Public Accountant) for 40 years, winners. We are winners because of the tax breaks we are receiving under Trump’s new tax law and we feel we voted for the right candidate to run our country for us. It really feels great being a winner. President Trump has tried really hard to keep his promises and has done a great job of putting America first, where it should always be. We, at times, do not care for his “rough cut” manners, but we knew he wasn’t a perfect man, when he decided to run for President. We like the fact that he is in office to return the country to the people and to make the country, not himself, great again. He loves the job and, yes, it feeds his big ego, and he loves America.
Now, here is a great special letter from a very special lady. It’s called “THE SALTY SAILOR”, written by Gold Star Mom Karen Vaughn, mother of Aaron Vaughn US Navy SEAL, regarding her views of President Donald Trump. This letter originally was posted by Jim Campbell on July 11, 2018.
On August 6, 2011, members of SEAL Team 6 were engaged in a covert operation in Afghanistan. As they approached the drop zone, the CH-47 helicopter carrying the SEALS was hit by one of the rockets fired by the Taliban, tearing off ten and one half feet of one of its main rotor blades, causing it to crash. Thirty Americans and eight Afgans died in the crash, including Navy SEAL Aaron Vaughn.
Here is his mother speaking:
“Sometimes God uses the no-nonsense, salty sailor to get the job done.
Appreciating what the man is doing doesn’t mean we worship the salty sailor or even desire to be like the salty sailor.
It doesn’t even mean God admires the salty sailor.
Maybe he just knows he’s necessary for such a time as this.
I believe with all my heart that God placed that salty sailor in the White House and gave this nation one more chance in 2016.
Donald Trump is what he is. He is still the man he was before the election.
And without guilt, I very much admire what that salty sailor is accomplishing.
He is not like me.
That is okay with me.
I don’t want to be like him.
I will never behave like him.
I know we NEVER had a man like him lead our nation.
It’s crazy and a little mind-blowing at times.
But I can’t help admire the ability he has to act with his heart rather than from a calculated, PC, think tank-screened, carefully edited script.
I still believe that is WHY he became our President and WHY he’s been able to handle a landslide of adversity and STILL pass unprecedented amounts of good legislation for our country AND do great works for MANY other nations, including Israel.
I’m thrilled with what he’s doing for my nation, for the cause of Christ (whether intentional or unintentional, doesn’t matter to me), and for the concept of rebuilding America and putting her FIRST. I will not be ashamed of my position because others don’t see him through the same lens.
Should it matter to me if a fireman drops an F-bomb while he’s pulling me from a burning building?
Would I really care about what came out of his mouth in those moments?
Heck no! I’d CARE about what he was DOING.
He wasn’t sent there to save my soul and I’m not looking to him for spiritual guidance.
All I’m thinking in those moments is, “Thank you, JESUS, for sending me the fireman.”
I’ll post this article again for those who still might not understand me.
This man is crass. Okay.
He’s not careful with what he says. Okay.
You feel offended that he’s not a typical statesman. Okay.
But, he is rebuilding the nation my son died for…the nation I feared was on a fast track to becoming a hopeless cause.
Forgive me if I’m smiling.”
GOD BLESS AMERICA – IN GOD WE TRUST
